I got 2 of these (and straps) for our anniversary. Fun to use together! Lightweight, fun colors, and easy and nice to relax in. Feels like a great quality item. Impressed by the customer service/ warranty (but I hope I won't need it)!
Delighted with the purchase. Will definitely be back to buy more soon
Love it! Great color, easy to hang up, strong and lifetime warranty. I bought 3 different colors and am impressed with each. Straps are great quality.
Double Deluxe Parachute Nylon Hammock
Awesome lightweight… comfortable… fits great on the hammock stand
This hammock was perfect for my young nephew! He is just starting out in hammock if with his friends. When he gets older I will definitely upgrade him to one that has the mosquito netting. You cannot and will not go wrong with any product from Grand Trunk. I buy hammocks and hand them out to homeless veterans in my community. Being a Marine myself the quality of product is beyond important since I am giving it to people who have valiantly served our country….this companies product fits that purpose. Thank you Grand Trunk!
We tested out the MOAB on our cross-country trip from California to New York. We had several opportunities to use it and found it super useful in keeping shade over our pups at the Salt Flats in Utah and as a rain cover in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's a product I'll keep with me in my vehicle always. I love the functionality and how it's great for backpacking and overlanding! Way to go GT!!
I have an old version of this and it works great, but this is a whole different ball game! I love the mesh they have in all the tie down locations, it makes for a very organized looking shelter! And the material is very well put together for a very dry camp!
I purchased the thermaquilt to give hammocking a try, as an alternative to using a tent. I didn't want to break the bank and purchase an expensive underquilt, so I purchased this from Grand Trunk. I was a bit concerned being that the rating on this is only 40 and it was going to be in the mid 30's on my trip. To compensate for the difference, I zipped up the thremaquilt so it was two layers hanging below my hammock. I then cinched the drawstrings on the ends and it pulled it up close. I was quite impressed with how well this worked and I never had a cold spot, other than when the thermaquilt moved to the side a little. The fix was easy by just pulling it back under me. Next time I will just attached it with a couple safety pins or velcro to keep it in place. This was such a minor issue and I am not sure that I would even purchase another underquilt other than to cut weight in my pack at some point, or if I was backpacking in super cold temps. I had a great comfortable night in the hammock and I will continue to do so using the thermaquilt.
Set up was easy and cut down on half the equipment I was using.
Decent quality compact could have a lil better instructions figured it out on you tube
They have great customer service! I needed a hammock for a camping trip. I had the option to buy something cheap but my friend recommended the skeeter beeter from grand trunk. When I saw the price I had a doubt but I decided to go ahead and try it. On my first try getting in I had an accident and my foot caught the zipper and broke it. I was disappointed that for that price I didn’t even get to use it. I contacted customer service and they took good care of me. They sent me a credit to get a new one! I was pleasantly surprised that they covered the cost of a new hammocks ! Here’s the proof that you get what you pay for.
Easy and quick to use, fit a variety of tree sizes! Fit nicely in the stuff sack. I kept the clip outside of the hammock to clip these straps to the hammock while storing/ transporting.
I used these straps on a trip to Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba Canada. They worked so great and were easy to set up.
Woohoo they work great
Lightweight and perfect for the backyard or taking a break at parks or beaches along the way. during between long drives. Hammock and tree sling hardly take up space. It is part of my EDC sling pack.
I was looking for a lighter hammock and this one is half the weight of my current one! When I got it I was amazed at how small it packs down! I will admit when I hung it I was skeptical it would be comfortable. But when I lay down in it I was like WOW! The fabric is soft against my skin and even though it is not as wide as my other hammocks I have no problem laying on an angle to get that flat comfy lay. It is now my favorite hammock!
Loved this hammock, stretchy breathable material, i could also fit a ton of paracord for staps in the same pouch. Best material out there for a hammock. This hammock lasted me 6 years until recently it tore where it connects to the carrabeaner, the beaner tor right off! I fell 15+ feet from a tree and got cuncussed.
I havent gotten a chance to use this yet, but I'm excited to, with it being December and after our first freeze there's no reason to pull it out until the bugs come back out, but it looks to be good quality just like everything else I've gotten from grand trunk
Fantastic purchase. Holes are so tiny, no bugs are getting in! Easy set-up.
I've only set it up in my backyard but the ease of setup, roominess of the actual "cocoon" compartment. And quality of the materials it packs up easy and icant wait to use it on my trip to port austin next weekend! I've order countless other products from them and will review them as I get them!!! Superb so far!
This is my second grand trunk purchase and I love everything so far. Only issue I had was paying for 2 day delivery and receiving my package 6 days later
When I received the GT Abrigo shelter/tarp admittedly, I was skeptical. I am used to more robust and heavier tarps in my four+ decades of camping…but I was impressed. A rainfly was out of the question in the oppressive heat of , OK, NM and CO early this summer…but nightly rain showers were forecasted (and occurred). The Abrigo provided ample coverage for my Marmot Limelight 4 and allowed ample airflow into the tent. The Abrigo is ridiculously light…provided with substantial length reflective guy lines and excellent stakes. After some usage, the nasty manufacturing/industrial odor faded, the only quasi-negative I can mention. Setup can be tricky if using trekking or auxiliary poles but doable for anyone if I was able to successfully accomplish it. All-in-all, I’m not camping or backpacking without it.
Nice quality, but pricey, I want you to design and sell a down under the outside hammock blanket. I saw several videos of Canadian winter campers who have one so I know they are out there; the one you offer seems overkill with under and over sleeping bag.
From my experience with this hammock, it is 100% mosquito proof. It is not, however, coyote proof....
I have traveled with this hammock for 10+ years. It is truly the best. Finally it has started to show some wear and need replaced. I am trying to order another like this because I am not a fan of the one with poles. I want the one with only chords, because why add more weight. Hopefully it is available soon.
I've already used grand trunk products, I live the flag and my country. I have the gt rain fly, bugnet, and flag for camping, can't wait to go to eagle rock loop next weekend and fly my flag. The double deluxe is really nice but to big for just me...
The American flag hammock was my first GT purchase. I love the American flag on everything shoes, purse, shirts, wall decorations, leggings. Literally everything. I bought the American flag hammock thinking it would be more like a novelty purchase not really for my main hammock. But I was wrong. It’s been my go to hammock for years and still looks brand new. I’ve bought a few more since my first purchase for the kids and for gifts. Everyone loves them.
Me like little metal things. Work gooder then now. Have thum push thing opener. Good.
They're what you'd expect and no problems with it. I like the how the gate is wider and easier to push the 2 bars with your thumb.
This is the bast hammock I’ve ever had, my best purchase I’ve ever made! So great!!!
works just as advertised! just another great product from Grand Trunk!
Thanks Grand Trunk, Floyd
Grand trunk always has the best gear for hammocking.they have been doing it before alot of companies were even born.they had to walk up hill to and from the factory.true pioneers to the everyday hammockers
10' starter rope kit is an excellent lightweight option for hanging your hammock. I use mine when backpacking and reserve my trunk straps for times when weight is not a factor. These ropes are strong and I have not seen any damage to trees when using them. Our family has a set for each of our hammocks. I would highly recommend them.
