This hammock is just plain delightful for relaxing or sleeping! The new material is lighter and more supportive than anything I’ve tried before. As a 5’10” side sleeper, I can sleep the night in this hammock comfortably without any issues.
I've had this hammock for 8 years, taken to the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness several times. Set up at our permanent campground when I'm not hiking. I also own more expensive hammocks that just don't compare to the comfort of my Skeeter Beater. The more expensive ones are narrower and shorter than my GT making shoulder squish an issue. I couldn't imagine a better hammock especially for the price until I saw the Skeeter Beater XT... Might have to get that one too.
I’m aircrew on a C-17, so there are plenty of times where the only decent quality of sleep we get is on the aircraft. I’ve been able to use the hammock numerous times on the C-17 while traveling over the world, and it the comfort is second to none. I can guarantee that if the hammock is phenomenal on a cramped military cargo aircraft at 36,000 ft, a the hammock will do just fine on whatever adventure you want to take it on. 10 out of 10
Simple to assemble. Compact and well designed. Improves the pleasure of our kids on the beach!
I love this pillow! I love reading in my hammock and this makes it so much more comfortable, it raises my head the perfect amount. The pillow is super easy to get back in the stuff sack too. I highly recommend this pillow to anyone who enjoys time in hammock!
If you are camping in a hammock in the winter, this thing is for you. It’s incredibly comfortable and warm. I used it for two nights in sub 30 degree weather. I stayed nice and toasty.
The easy turning is what makes the stool special
Very hard to get the third leg to fit in
You have to be quite strong
or lean on two legs to get the third one in
Waiting for the seat to stretch with use to make it easier to fit
Otherwise an excellent seat
I wanted a bug net that would go to the ground so my furry friend would be protected as well if she didnt want to stay in the hammock. I did not want her to be in a separate "dog" tent. But wanted her close to me. This bug net is perfect for camping with your dog! It is relatively easy to set up and the fabric is very durable. The few times she has pawed at the screen it did not rip. I will add that the bottom is NOT water proof, water does seep through it a bit. It is a little bulky and heavy for backpacking so am looking for a lighter option. But until I find one, this works great. Perfect for car camping adventures when the bulk and weight are not an issue. I even used it with the hammock stand and the 2 worked together just fine.
Soft, love the strap! Easier to get in and out of sack!
I have one in each color and both blankets the stitching is coming undone.
I’m a hammock guy through and through. I have some rigs for winter hammock camping with over $600 sunk into them each. This hammock is hands down worth the money over the regular grand trunk offerings. I have a single grand trunk and two of these doubles. The weight, the 11ft length, and the softness of the fabric is a no brainer. Take it from me - I’m not just a casual hammock person. I’m out there using this stuff in the field. It’s a good product. Also. How the heck is it so soft?
I bought 3 of the chairs when they were still sold by Alite. I was quite sad, that I wasn't able to buy more, tried a similiar one from Helinox, but was never really happy with it. So I was really glad, when I heard GranTrunk was taken over the production of them.
They are very comfy and from 3 chairs which I bought almost 7 years ago, only one frame broke last year. Looking forward to replace my broken one!
Hope that there will coming some more vibrant colors!
We're in love with this winter hammock! With Phoenix sensory issues being out in the cold for long periods is difficult for him but daddy loves it! Now with this hammock he can swing out in nature. Do what he loves like play on his tablet, read his books in all his favorite places.
