I'm pretty short at 5'6"-5'7"; this is perfect for me! Cozy but not too tight! :)
If you're anything over 5'8" you probably won't want this though; go with a longer Hammock/Tarp.
In my case I have no complaints; this will get you hanging without a second mortgage... I did upgrade to Whoopie Slings as the suspension that comes with it is not very tree friendly and quite short. ONE THING I didn't like though; the carabiners that come with it are just no good: straight-up hardware store carabiners with burrs left from machining. I changed them before I even set it up once: I'm convinced they would have wrecked the netting just from stuffing them in the bag: got rid of the loops too and set it up with BD Wiregates straight on the gathered ends: works a charm and I saved a few ounces! :)
All in all this was a great buy and a hell of a lot lighter than my tent!
We bought this set for our boy scout son at least 4 years ago. Wasn't sure on the quality because we had never heard of the brand. Well, I can't say enough good things about this set. He has only camped with this set summer, winter, rain or shine since. It has out performed many other pricier sets. We did end up getting a set of looped hammock straps that were not included. He is now an Eagle scout and heading off to college soon. This set-up is still going strong. I recommend Grand Trunk if anyone asks.
This is the best mosquito net available. It allows air to flow, It keeps the mosquitoes far away from you and allows you to keep gear in the bottom on the floor. You can get in to the hammock while zipped inside the net standing comfortably. Itallows you to change clothes get in your gear or make afjustments inside. It is very sturdy. I have 2 sons that are 13 and 17 and we have used the same nets for at least 4 seasons with no damage or compromise to the net. They're amazing!
I was pleasantly surprised by this bug net. At first it seemed so much bigger than the bug nets I'm used to, but I liked it for the massive amount of headroom, as well as the integrated ground tarp. It was easy to lay out all my gear and can easily be used for ground camping if needed. I only have 2 criticisms. 1. It is much too large for backpacking (although perfect for car camping, so take that as you choose.) And 2. I would have liked a darker color option besides just white, like gray or black. I would ding it a star for those 2 things, but I have to give it back because it comes with a guyline AND aluminum stakes (the stakes were not listed in the description.) I haven't found another decent bugnet that comes with all the extras. All in all though it is a great bug net and very roomy. Highly recommended if weight and size aren't a problem.
I love my mozzynet! The only thing I found was that I could not pull the cord to string through the top tight enough to keep it up out of my face. I switched it for a couple ratchet/canoe straps and found that to be much more efficient easy way to make it work. I slept like a baby!

Just opened the tarp and have the following comments. The weight of the tarp alone is 16.3 ounces, so I would call that in spec. The tarp came with six stakes and six guy lines. That was unclear in the ad. The tarp is not 120" x 120". I just measured mine and it is 9' x 9'. That is quite a bit of difference from rough cut to finish size where I would expect less than 6 inch difference.
Looks well constructed. I will be using it for my hammock set up, replacing a 9.5' x 9.5' blue poly tarp that weighs 26 ounces. I'm saving 10 ounces and I suspect much more durable over time.
This Grand Trunk hemp hammock is very nice and I love the hemp leaf pattern. The lifetime warranty is icing on the cake.
Gift, big hit
So this was given to me as a gift and I've had hammocks in the past that are a struggle for one person even built my own homemade hammock stand. NOTHING WORKED! I was given this hammock as a Christmas gift and thought what the heck I'll try it the next time I go camping. To my surprise it is the most comfortable relaxing seat/bed I've ever had. Yes it works as a seat also. And me and my wife love to cuddle in it. Can't believe how easy it is to set it up, take it down, put it back in the pack, also to get in and out of it. Best hammock hands-down, already have my friends getting their own after they've tried ours.
