A combination of light weight under and overquilts and all packaged with a decent weight. I, at first avoided the Grand Trunk Evolution hammock because it appeared heavy at 4.2 lbs. Once I realized that adding all my gear together came out heavier, I went with the Grand Trunk. So much easier than worrying about hanging underquilts...
If you are camping in a hammock in the winter, this thing is for you. It’s incredibly comfortable and warm. I used it for two nights in sub 30 degree weather. I stayed nice and toasty.
Say goodbye to that cold under draft and say hello to absolute comfort...I was worried that it wouldn’t keep the heat in and I was wonderfully wrong. I can’t wait to keep putting it to the test this summer because so far it has fulfilled everything I could of hoped for. This is truly worth every penny.

Can't wait to use it on my next backpacking trip 🙂
Love the Grank Trunk! Use it out in the field working on Air Conditioners. So small I clip it on my tool bag. Not heavy at all.
Comfortable, warm, not small but definitely worth packing if you’re not hiking too far. I have only used this around 40 degrees, but it kept me warm. I would definitely recommend.
I always had issues with my shoulder tendons being sore when I woke up from being a side sleeper (I had a 2k bed from serta) . When I moved into a new place I had seen some stuff on Reddit about people with the same issue sleeping in hammocks to help with the soreness so I bought a frame and a grand trunk hammock. I’ve been sleeping in one every night for a year straight and still going strong. I sleep well have zero back or shoulder pain and have ZERO issues with the hammock in a full 365 days of sleeping in it. Would recommend!
I tested it, I'm 6'5" and I think it will be great to use. Better then sitting on a rock when camping!
