Help Us Make Hammock History

Join Grand Trunk, The Park at Swan Valley, and The Jurgys for an unforgettable day outdoors.

What happens when hundreds of people come together with one simple goal... to slow down, stretch out, and relax in a hammock at the exact same time?

Hopefully... a brand-new world record.

On July 18, Grand Trunk is teaming up with The Park at Swan Valley and outdoor creators The Jurgys for an event that's about so much more than setting a record. It's about bringing people together, celebrating the outdoors, and creating a story you'll be telling for years to come.

We're inviting families, friends, couples, and adventure-seekers of all ages to join us in beautiful Swan Valley, Idaho, as we attempt to break the current world record for the most people lying in hammocks simultaneously.

More Than a World Record

At Grand Trunk, we've always believed a hammock is more than just gear.

It's where conversations last a little longer. Where kids laugh until sunset. Where tired feet finally get a break after a day outside. It's a reminder that sometimes the best adventures happen when you pause long enough to enjoy them.

That's why this event feels like such a natural fit.

The Park at Swan Valley has quickly become a place where families gather, memories are made, and everyday life gives way to something a little more meaningful. Together with Bryce and Nellie Jurgy, we've dreamed up an experience that celebrates exactly what we love most about the outdoors: connection.

For one afternoon, hundreds of hammocks will fill the park, creating a sea of color, laughter, and people choosing to spend time together outside.

We've Got the Hammocks Covered

You don't need to own a hammock or even know how to set one up.

Grand Trunk is bringing 300 custom hammocks and 300 hammock stands, so every participant has a comfortable place to relax during the official record attempt. Participants will even have the opportunity to purchase the hammock and stand they used at special event pricing if they want to take a piece of the day home with them.

Stay for the Celebration

Breaking a world record is only part of the fun.

After the official attempt, the celebration continues with activities for the whole family, including:

  • Live music
  • Food trucks
  • Rock climbing
  • Bounce houses
  • Mechanical bull rides
  • Face painting
  • Carnival games

Whether you're bringing the kids, planning a date night, or gathering your favorite adventure buddies, it's shaping up to be one of those summer evenings you'll remember long after the season ends.

Be Part of Something Bigger

Records are exciting.

But what we're really hoping to create is a moment.

One where hundreds of strangers become part of the same story. One where a simple hammock reminds us how easy it can be to reconnect - with nature, with each other, and with the joy of spending time outside.

Years from now, you'll be able to say, "I was there."

And whether we leave with a new world record or simply an incredible memory, that's something worth showing up for.

CAN'T MAKE IT TO SWAN VALLEY? JOIN THE MOMENT FROM ANYWHERE.

Not everyone can make the trip to Idaho, and that's okay—we'd still love for you to be part of this adventure.

At 4:00 PM MST on Saturday, we'll all be settling into our hammocks for the official world record attempt. Wherever you are, we invite you to hang with us. Set up in your backyard, your favorite local park, at the campground, or anywhere you can take a few minutes to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.

Snap a photo or share a video of your hammock setup and tag @grandtrunk on social media. We'll be sharing our favorite moments from around the country throughout the day and celebrating everyone who chose to join us, whether you're in Swan Valley or simply enjoying a little hammock time closer to home.

Because while only one place can host the official record attempt, this celebration is about something bigger. It's about taking a moment to unwind, reconnect, and remember that adventure doesn't always mean going far—it can start right where you are.

So wherever Saturday finds you, find a hammock at 4:00 PM MST, invite someone to join you, and help us turn one world record attempt into a nationwide moment of relaxation.
