Today is Earth Day, and we’re full of gratitude right now. Gratitude for all of the amazing adventures this planet has given us, and for all the new adventures waiting for us in the future. It’s good to take a moment now and then to appreciate the power of nature to restore our spirit and give us some much-needed perspective on life.

Adventure Responsibly

With the springtime weather warming up, and everybody being cooped up at home under quarantine for so long, going on an outdoor adventure may be just the thing you need to recharge your batteries. Find New Trails!

Part of adventuring responsibly is getting off the beaten path and venturing to more remote areas where there will be less people around. Trailforks is an excellent resource for finding new places to explore the outdoors. This website and mobile app offers access to an enormous database of information on local trails for any application, including hiking, mountain biking, ATVs, skiing, and more. It also includes status info and current conditions if you’re worried about closures, snow, ice or mud. Put in your location and find out what’s nearby!

Don’t forget: Limited Edition NFF Hammocks

We still have a few of these left! This is your chance to do something good for the Earth and get a sweet hammock. Purchase a National Forest Foundation hammock anytime this month, and we’ll donate $20 to plant 20 trees. The NFF matches that contribution and plants another 20 trees. That means from buying one hammock, 40 trees are planted! That’s a huge investment that future generations will be grateful for.
