I'm pretty short at 5'6"-5'7"; this is perfect for me! Cozy but not too tight! :)
If you're anything over 5'8" you probably won't want this though; go with a longer Hammock/Tarp.
In my case I have no complaints; this will get you hanging without a second mortgage... I did upgrade to Whoopie Slings as the suspension that comes with it is not very tree friendly and quite short. ONE THING I didn't like though; the carabiners that come with it are just no good: straight-up hardware store carabiners with burrs left from machining. I changed them before I even set it up once: I'm convinced they would have wrecked the netting just from stuffing them in the bag: got rid of the loops too and set it up with BD Wiregates straight on the gathered ends: works a charm and I saved a few ounces! :)
All in all this was a great buy and a hell of a lot lighter than my tent!
We bought this set for our boy scout son at least 4 years ago. Wasn't sure on the quality because we had never heard of the brand. Well, I can't say enough good things about this set. He has only camped with this set summer, winter, rain or shine since. It has out performed many other pricier sets. We did end up getting a set of looped hammock straps that were not included. He is now an Eagle scout and heading off to college soon. This set-up is still going strong. I recommend Grand Trunk if anyone asks.
I've personally have had this stool for, I think, over 5 years now. From the Backcountry, at gatherings, festivals, through airports, I've taken it everywhere and it still looks almost new. I had a corporal who carried a very similar one in concept on her pack in the military and this was the only stool I could find with the same design; the bottom part of the legs are open so you can slide it in from the top of a backpack putting the legs into the packs compression straps, for fast & easy deployment and weight distribution. Anyway, this thing is a fantastic little stool, and I'm glad I bought one.
Here is the ultimate light and sturdy stool (four legs are much better) to tuck into a pack, briefcase, or art kit.
It also functions as a footrest or table for the palette. My sketching friends are jealous and want one too. Best of all you get to choose the spot to paint from rather than having to sit on an existing bench or rock. Alternative use: a place to sit down in hot climates (India) , long lines (rush lines theater), intermenable tour guide talks (Machu Pichu) You can't imagine how much a seat helps.
The stand is amazing and easy to transport and set up.
I love my Grand Trunk beach blanket, it goes everywhere with me. It’s perfect for music festivals because it’s so light and packs down easily. I have purchased these trustly blankets for a bunch of my family members for Christmas this year.
Great product. Well thought out, it even has a little pocket for an mp3 player or to store ear plugs. Now my wife wants one!
I think I’m really going to like this travel pillow. Very comfortable and the hood is large enough to cover my eyes when needed. Fits into the included bag. Pretty teal color.
This is the best mosquito net available. It allows air to flow, It keeps the mosquitoes far away from you and allows you to keep gear in the bottom on the floor. You can get in to the hammock while zipped inside the net standing comfortably. Itallows you to change clothes get in your gear or make afjustments inside. It is very sturdy. I have 2 sons that are 13 and 17 and we have used the same nets for at least 4 seasons with no damage or compromise to the net. They're amazing!
I was pleasantly surprised by this bug net. At first it seemed so much bigger than the bug nets I'm used to, but I liked it for the massive amount of headroom, as well as the integrated ground tarp. It was easy to lay out all my gear and can easily be used for ground camping if needed. I only have 2 criticisms. 1. It is much too large for backpacking (although perfect for car camping, so take that as you choose.) And 2. I would have liked a darker color option besides just white, like gray or black. I would ding it a star for those 2 things, but I have to give it back because it comes with a guyline AND aluminum stakes (the stakes were not listed in the description.) I haven't found another decent bugnet that comes with all the extras. All in all though it is a great bug net and very roomy. Highly recommended if weight and size aren't a problem.
Took my Grand Trunk Skeeter Beater on a 3,000 mile motorcycle ride, it afforded me comfortable bug free rest at every opportunity! Everything one needs to hook up, and chill out. Loved it so much I bought a second to keep in my Jeep.
Skeeter Beeter Mosquito Net Hammock
Love the hammock and straps.
Grand Trunk has been my go-to hammock brand for a few years and I love their products! Super excited for summer so I can use my new teal straps!
The hammock was delivered on time, any material is very nice oh, did not expect the hammock material to be so nice I'm here. The hammock straps I ordered were very very nice also I would order from them again
Just tried it out today. Soft, strong, awesome.
