I got the hammock quilt quickly and had a chance to use it this weekend. I didn't use my hammock for this trip, instead used a cot in a tarp tipi. With the weather a bit cool, the hammock quilt converted quickly and easily to a soft lightweight cover over my sleeping system. Just the right amount of added layer for a very comfortable night. And, when I was packing up, it went back easily into the stuff sack. It will be a great addition for cool fall evenings at the beach house too! Versatile and much less expensive than other products.
I really like this 3-in-1hammock quilt! What a great way to have 3 nice products to use with a hammock or as a sleeping bag/quilt. When I got mine, I was disappointed to see one of the tie attachments in the inner pocket of the quilt was missing, but I'm hopeful that the good customer service at GrandTrunk will send a replacement. In the meantime, it's easy to rig up a rope that will serve the same purpose. I tested out the quilt one night in the hammock, and it kept me very warm and cozy. I'm also pleased that it packs down to a very small size, so I can fit it in my hiking backpack or use it when I kayak camp. Thanks, GrandTrunk!
I have one in each color and both blankets the stitching is coming undone.
My sister needed something like this for hammock camping, so I bought it for her. I guess it should have been obvious by the fact that there are drawstrings at each end, but she was super excited that because of the drawstring openings, she could walk around in it!!
There’s really nothing that mentions that, and just today (after reading and studying on this purchase for months) I just saw a picture of a girl that looks like she’s jumping in it and I see her feet, but other than that, there’s no mention that you can walk around in it. ( I attached a pick from grand trunk.) That would have been nice to know. I with they had listed it among the other benefits of owning one. But all on all it is a pretty nice and versatile piece of gear. I agree with another person who said it just needs zippers on the side for armholes! I think I will add them to make it the perfect piece of gear!
I also recommend the grand trunk mozzy 360 big net, it’s great because it has a “floor” so you can store stuff inside to keep bugs and critters out of it. I love grand trunk. They offer great, well made products with multi uses.
Granddaughter so excited to get it. Plans on settling up in the dining just to get to use it.
