I recieved the skeeter beeter as a gift 2 years ago and it is by far the best camping and backpacking shelter I have it's big easy setup and comfortable sleeping no more getting eaten up by the mosquitoes all night . I would recommend this to anyone for back country camping also is a low impact way to camp. Of course my pic is this year and I have it flipped no mosquitoes yet.
Took my Grand Trunk Skeeter Beater on a 3,000 mile motorcycle ride, it afforded me comfortable bug free rest at every opportunity! Everything one needs to hook up, and chill out. Loved it so much I bought a second to keep in my Jeep.
We just purchased a couple MORE of these blankets for our trip to Florida. These are great! They do not blow away in the ocean breeze - easy to clean and light. We loved it so much we bought some as gifts for our spring breakers. Compacts into your suitcase so you don’t even know it’s there until it’s needed. Why bring big heavy sheet towels to layout on which are bulky ? This is a much better option.
I’m an avid camper/hiker/canoer/paddle boarder. My dog comes along for all of my daily adventures, so I bought this more for him, and it’s made my life easy too. It’s a sleeping mat, a beach mat, a lunch mat, and so many other things! And when it’s not in use, it’s easy to clean off, pack up, and stays in my daypack 24/7!
I was so impressed with my first hammock that I bought, I just had to take the opportunity to grab another for my kids. I love the color and material, they had fun with mine and now they’ll have their own. Thank for the great product
What a great product. Great build, and super easy to set up. I had no idea what I was missing. This is a perfect hammock for one, but with the trunk straps it’s super easy to setup and enjoy. Currently browsing all the gear to make it a tent replacement. Very comfortable sleep.
I got the Peacock Green version, and it's a very nice color and really makes the blanket look great! I received this blanket about 2 months ago to use in my Jeep when I'm out and about. Not only did it work great with that, but I recently had an unexpected surgery and was bedridden for about a week and a half. While recovering, this blanket worked perfect in keeping me warm and comfortable(It's super soft). The little foot "pouch" worked well too, as I couldn't move my right leg very well and the "pouch" allowed me to stick my foot inside and throw the blanket on me! Great purchase, and I hope they release more in some new colors!
Super soft and cozy!!
One of my favorite companies along with my absolute favorite hammock to bring camping with me!
I got two hammocks and love them both! 1 one them has turned into a wrestling match arena with my 4 and 6 years old with me in it. They jump and fight. So far it has held up to the test!
I'm pretty short at 5'6"-5'7"; this is perfect for me! Cozy but not too tight! :)
If you're anything over 5'8" you probably won't want this though; go with a longer Hammock/Tarp.
In my case I have no complaints; this will get you hanging without a second mortgage... I did upgrade to Whoopie Slings as the suspension that comes with it is not very tree friendly and quite short. ONE THING I didn't like though; the carabiners that come with it are just no good: straight-up hardware store carabiners with burrs left from machining. I changed them before I even set it up once: I'm convinced they would have wrecked the netting just from stuffing them in the bag: got rid of the loops too and set it up with BD Wiregates straight on the gathered ends: works a charm and I saved a few ounces! :)
All in all this was a great buy and a hell of a lot lighter than my tent!
We bought this set for our boy scout son at least 4 years ago. Wasn't sure on the quality because we had never heard of the brand. Well, I can't say enough good things about this set. He has only camped with this set summer, winter, rain or shine since. It has out performed many other pricier sets. We did end up getting a set of looped hammock straps that were not included. He is now an Eagle scout and heading off to college soon. This set-up is still going strong. I recommend Grand Trunk if anyone asks.
This is the best mosquito net available. It allows air to flow, It keeps the mosquitoes far away from you and allows you to keep gear in the bottom on the floor. You can get in to the hammock while zipped inside the net standing comfortably. Itallows you to change clothes get in your gear or make afjustments inside. It is very sturdy. I have 2 sons that are 13 and 17 and we have used the same nets for at least 4 seasons with no damage or compromise to the net. They're amazing!
I was pleasantly surprised by this bug net. At first it seemed so much bigger than the bug nets I'm used to, but I liked it for the massive amount of headroom, as well as the integrated ground tarp. It was easy to lay out all my gear and can easily be used for ground camping if needed. I only have 2 criticisms. 1. It is much too large for backpacking (although perfect for car camping, so take that as you choose.) And 2. I would have liked a darker color option besides just white, like gray or black. I would ding it a star for those 2 things, but I have to give it back because it comes with a guyline AND aluminum stakes (the stakes were not listed in the description.) I haven't found another decent bugnet that comes with all the extras. All in all though it is a great bug net and very roomy. Highly recommended if weight and size aren't a problem.
